  • Seeing the World at 50mm

Welcome to my second post for the month of May. It’s been a busy few weeks and I’ve got quite a few more images to share. I’ve been trying to focus on using particular gear so I can write more reviews so I’m sad to say some lenses aren’t getting as much attention as they should. Growing on Me Like many when I first started photography my first lens was…

  • Too Much To Handle?

Wow it’s been a busy and productive few weeks. Not only did I manage to finally finish my Canon EOS R6 Reivew which you can hear the audio version below. . I’ve also been busy trying to use the Canon M50 Mark II as much as I can so that I have plenty of images for that review too. In fact the image you see at the top of the…

  • The G.A.S Has Returned Again

Here are some new photos from my recent road trip a whopping 10 minute drive from my house. I actually been going here way too much and you’d recognize it from my last post so I need to give this location a break for a while. I wanted to visit here one more time to try a cityscape of North Sydney with the 100-400mm which you can see above. Sadly…

  • The Rain Continues

As the title suggests, we’ve had a lot of rain recently. In fact we had so much rain and flooding last weekend that the NSW government declared it as CAT212. Because of this, I didn’t get to shoot much aside from two days. Here are the images from those two photo outings. First up is a quick food photo from a cafe called Two Sis & Co. This is fairly…

  • My Top 5 Images of 2020

With a few weeks left in 2020 I figure it’s time for my top images of the year. Although there are a few weeks to go, I don’t see myself getting any other top imagines in that remaining time. Below are my top 5 images in no particular order. Anna Bay NSW This photo was taken during my road trip to Newcastle and Hunter Valley which was about 170km from…

  • Sydney Light Trails

The above image was a photo I made for a tutorial over at The Photography Enthusiast. It is made of 7 individual photos merged using the lighten blend mode in Photoshop. If you want more insight into how I made the image, you can watch my video above.

  • Rushing By

Last week I went down to Circular Quay to do some long exposures. I told myself that no matter what the weather, I would drag myself out. My luck turned out to be great and I got some great clouds for sunset. The featured image up top was a 76 second exposure and I used my Haida ND filter. I actually did one exposure for the sky then another for…

  • Singapore

It’s been a little over one week since I got back from Singapore now and I surprisingly miss it. This shot was taken on my first day there and it was when I met up with Joey of lastlights.net. I was trying to do some very long exposures and accidently underexposed this so it took quite a bit of work to get it to look how I wanted it to.

  • Intersection

Despite owning the M5 for over a year, I realized I had never used it to do any long exposures. This intersection is only a 5 minute walk from my house so I decided to head here on evening. For some reason, the image looks very different here on WordPress compared to Tumblr and Flickr so maybe make sure you check it out on there once it’s uploaded 🙂

  • Storm Over Bradleys Head

Last weekend the weather appeared to be good so I decided to rent a car and drive to Bradleys Head to do a long exposure. Although I’m happy with the image I got, I did have some challenges.
